It took me some time to be able to write this, because I encountered some unfortunate problems with my phone. It died and I had to buy a new one, but luckily, the pictures I'm about to share with you were saved! :)
Last weekend I went to the Metal Female Voices Festival with my cousin Marloes. We had visited the festival last year and had so much fun that we wanted to go again this year. We had booked our hotel months ago and this year we had VIP tickets, so all we had left to do was select some outfits. I recycled some things from last year, but on the last day I wore my completely new JSK from Fly Away Fashion.
The festival itself was awesome! After we had just arrived at our hotel we went to Brussels to meet up with our friend Vie. I wanted to wear my new Fly Away Fashion tights and quickly changed before we left. Here's a picture of my outift:
We had a very yummy lunch and visited a store which sells a lot of manga and animes. Afterwards we went back to our hotel and relaxed a bit before we had to change. The first night we don't do very elaborate outfits, so I went for my Bodique corset with my new KuroNeko skirt:
The first evening we got to see Liv Kristine and the Eve's Apple show. It was really great and afterwards we hung out in the VIP area. We decided to turn in a little early, so after a while we went back to our hotel. After a nice hot shower I dove into the bed and promptly fell asleep.
On the second day, we had some more time to dress. I started with Marloes' make-up and hair. Afterwards I did my own and got dressed.
My outfit for day 2:
Halfway through my transformation. You can see my make-up really well on this pic:
Loes and I took some outfit shots before we left. I always feel like a princess when I dress up in my Petit Angel skirt with that beautiful corset:
We left for the festival. We were a little bit late to see Serenity, so we went to the VIP area where we encountered the lovely Lisa Middelhauve. She is such a nice person and always so beautiful. She rocks corsets like a pro and I always love the way she does her make-up. And besides that, she has a lovely voice!
The first thing she did when she saw me was hug me! She said she always loves the feeling of a corset, and we talked a bit about the funny ways you have to sit with them. They are not very comfortable, hihi. It was quite the adventure to get into the car. :p
I took a picture with her and then she had to leave for the signing session.
We went to the signing session too. Lisa was the second apple to sign my card and she proudly told the other girls I was her Disney Princess. I got many compliments on my outfit, and even later today from Liv Kristine from Leaves' Eyes. <3
I also encountered Isaac from Epica. The VIP area was a really great place to be, haha...
While we were hanging out there, Loes suddenly pointed to someone behind me and said: "Look! There goes another lolita!" I was like: huh? here?
I encountered her later that day. I learned that she was a lolita from Greece, and that she is a musician. She is known as Sophia Sama and she looked stunningly beautiful. We took a picture together:
Later on that day we saw Leaves' Eyes and Delain. We left a little earlier and went back to the hotel to attempt to watch a movie. But sadly, I had gotten quite a head ache during the day and I decided to lay down while Loes took a shower. I was asleep when she came back, so she decided to let me rest.
The next day we got up and watched a movie first. Afterwards we had to stress a little to get dressed, but it was still a lot of fun! :p
The third day I forgot to take a sneak peek shot of my outfit, but we did take some outfit shots at the festival:
I really love this dress and the outfit in general! I'm definitely gonna wear it again soon!
We went to see Eleanor, a Japanese metal band. We also went to their signing session and their singer, Shiori vitus thought I looked really pretty! :)
After the signing session we hung out and then went to watch Stream of Passion, ReVamp, and Tarja. I have always been a fan of Tarja, so it was very special for me to see her live for the first time. She was really, really great! I also loved the fact that she asked Floor Jansen to sing with her. They did the last song of Tarja's show together and it was Over the Hills and far away.
I really liked this year's MFVF!
We might go again next year, but that depends on how our plans for Japan are going! :p
