Frills and Fairy tales meet! :)

It's been a while since I've posted anything. O.o
Then again, I haven't worn lolita in a while, so yeah. XD
Work was really crazy, so I didn't have much time for anything, but I hope you'll still enjoy this post!

Two weeks ago I went to the Frills and Fairy tales meet in Breda. Like the name suggests, it was a meet with a fairy tale theme. I was really excited with this theme, because it's not a secret that I love fairy tales. Last year, there had already been plans to organize a fairy tale themed event, but sadly it got cancelled. Around that time I had already bought some stuff for my outfit, and now I just had to dress up in the outfit I had in mind back then!

I had been busy preparing for the meet a few weeks beforehand already. All my lolita clothes are stored in a city box, so I have to really think about what I want to wear, since I can't access my clothes as much as I would like. And since I had to try out if my idea for my wig would work, I had to prepare.

My outfit would be inspired by Disney's Tangled, from the scene where the little girls braid Rapunzel's hair and add all the flowers to it. So I got my outfit together and ironed the dress. It's hell to do so, because the tiered shirt is a pain! :p I always take sneak peek shots of my outfit, and this time was no exception:

Then I went to work on my wig. It's a very long wig and it always tangles easily, so I sat down to brush it first. The tangles were horrible, but some John Frieda did the trick! I was quite amazed, because the ends of the wig were really frizzy and after using the spray, it felt super soft again! I put the wig on and went to braid it. Because I planned to add a lot of flowers to it, a regular braid probably wouldn't hold well, so I made a fishtail braid. Afterwards, I put the wig on my wig stand and started adding flowers to it. I quickly concluded that the flowers wouldn't stay in the braid on their own, but I really loved the end result:

The evening before the meet I redid the braid again, and sewed the flowers into it, so that they wouldn't fall out. I still have to figure out how to undo it now, but that will come later, haha!

On meeting days I always have to rush like crazy. I have to make sure that my horse is taken care of, and then I have to shower, do my make-up and go over to the boyfriend to dress up. I left on time, thankfully. I would park my car at my friend Stacey's place, and as my luck would have it... I got lost. TT__TT

Luckily, I found my way again soon and arrived just in time. Stacey looked really awesome in her folklore inspire outfit! We took the bus to the station and met up with the rest over there! From there, the group walked to Dickens and Jones, where the high tea would take place. It turned out to be a really charming restaurant. We had a whole room to ourselves, which was totally awesome. The high tea was really great, and I had a lot of fun talking to my friends! <3

We also took some pictures outside. Here are some pictures of my outfit:

After a few hours of good food and company, the meeting ended. As I had to be home on time, I sadly couldn't stay for dinner. Stacey and I walked back to the station with some other girls. It had started raining in the mean time, which really sucked, but we managed to stay relatively dry.

I had a lot of fun at this meet and I can't wait until the next one! :)
